Our Experience

We’re experienced in developing evaluation plans and frameworks for institutions, carrying out evaluations of programs, and preparing data and reporting materials for AZA review.

AZA Accreditation

“Inspiring guest engagement through effective education and conservation” is a core goal of AZA accredited institutions. Institutions should provide innovative and inspirational educational programs and experiences, which are assessed in the Education & Interpretation area of the AZA accreditation review. It is also expected that institutions explain “how education programs are evaluated to assure effectiveness.” A quality evaluation can ensure your programs meet their goals and positively impact participants, At Improved Insights, we help organizations like yours assess and communicate the impacts of your work.

We can help you evaluate:

  • Your institution’s conservation and education messages.

  • The programming needs of guests (e.g., internal, external, multi-cultural, guests with special needs) and how these needs are addressed by your institution’s educational programs (e.g., formal, informal, on-site, off-site, etc.).

  • Educationally focused collaborative partnerships with local/national groups (e.g., universities/colleges, nature centers, conservation organizations, museums, governmental agencies, etc.).

  • Your institution’s educational programs (e.g., animal care specialist talks, fee programs, animal encounters, exhibits, etc.).

  • Program satisfaction and/or impact of programs on guests or participants.

  • Your institution’s overall interpretive program (e.g., exhibit interpretation and development, interpretive signage, volunteer carts, animal care specialist talks, shows, etc.).

  • Your institution’s volunteer and outreach programs.
